and Mrs. Judd Burke oi Flint Hill were Saturday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Burke on Blue Ridge Avenue. Sunday dinner guests of the Burkes were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Metzger and Elmer Metzger of Lorton.

Luncheon guests Monday of Mrs. Jesse Ward at Echo Hill Farm were Dr. and Mrs. Clarence W. Cranford of Bethesda, Md. and Mr. and Mrs. John A. Patterson of Chevy Chase, Md. Mr. and Mrs. J. Newbill Miller and D. D. Miller attended the funeral service Saturday for Mrs. Grace V. Green at Hillciest Memory Gardens near Jeffersonton. Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr. is a patient in the Warren Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Henry M. Keyser spenl from Friday until Monday at the home of her son, H. M. Keyser, Jr. at Clifton while Mr. and Mrs Keyser, Jr. were in Williamsburg.

Weekend guests of J. Stant Weaver were his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Penaranda and family of Fairfax and his son, John Weaver ol Washington, D. C. John Weaver recently returned from a trip to Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Germany. In Germany he attended the Passion Play at Oberammergau.

Weekend visitors of Mrs. A. M. Verner and Mrs. Virgil Updike were Mr. and Mrs. George Raymond Jenkins and family of Suffolk and Miss Phyllis Verner of Falls Church who had been spending a two weeks vacation with her sister, Mrs. Jenkins in Suffolk. Mrs. Updike accompanied Miss Verner to Falls Church on Monday. Sunday visitors in the Updike-Vemer home were Mrs. Vemer’s sister Mrs. Nellie Wood and daughter, Mrs. Gordon
