Beauty Pageant
A Beauty Contest sponsored in Rappahannock County by the local Jaycee Chapter has been tentatively set for Friday night, April 30, 1971. The contest is open to young ladies who are residents of the county and are between the ages of 4 and 18 years. Competition will be divided into four age groups. Top prize money offered this year will be $300 for the older group. Eligible contestants must be sponsored by business firms in and around the area and the entry fee is $3.00 per girl. Applications will be available from the schools here or the Jaycees and Garfield fJurke of Woodville with J. B. Willis, Sperryville are cochairmen of the event.
A practice rehearsal will be held the night prior to the contest.
