Achievement Night
Set For Homemakers
The annual Achievement Night program of the Homemaker Clubs of Rappahannock County is scheduled for Thursday, November 11 at Chester Gap. The program, held in the fire hall there, will begin at 7:30 p.m. This event climaxes a year of club activities and members of each club join together for this special program to which the public is cordially invited. Each club in Rappahannock will prepare an exhibit, all of which are judged with ribbons awarded. Also chosen is the Outstanding Club of the Year and an award is presented in recognition of this. A feature of the program will be a talk, “Safety in the Home” given by Braxton James, 3 State Fire Instructor and member of Amissville Volunteer Fire Company. This and other programs are made possible through the Extension Service and specialists of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Blacksburg. Miss Kay Webb is the Extension Agent, Home Economics in Rappahannock.
