Fact II-The Supervisors have: no control over re-assessments. I was in favor of mailing the figures on the property appraisal to each property owner. A mistake was made, not by me, and the notice that was requested to be mailed to each property owner telling him when he could appear before the Board of Assessors to discuss his appraisal did not contain the amount of the appraisal. The law was obeyed and each person was given an opportunity to complain. The writer knew this and one advisor earlier has written a lettei to you telling of unfair practices. To prove this she misused the facts before by interchanging the words assessed and appraised. Assessed is 1-5 of appraisal So her letter made the assessors look very corrupt. To date I have not seen a public correction of an irresponsible, unfactual statement.
Fact III and IV-No person or club dominates my vote. I am obligated to the people only.
Fact V-A statement designed to put the people who feel left out of our society against the people who have been partially successful for no other reason than the fact they are successful sounds socialistic or worse to me.
I feel certain that this Bruce letter did influence the vote on Tuesday by enough to lose the
