beginning with the fifth grade to prepare future Panther stars. Sounds like our Panthers are headed for some big successes.
The Freshman class met last week to elect officers for the year. They are: President, Molly Dennise; Vice President, Sally Grigsby; Secretary, Sherri Looney; Treasurer, Carol Jackson. Plans are being made for Juniors and Seniors to possibly attend an open house at the University of Virginia’s School of Nursing. Those students who are interested are asked to sign up for the trip in Mr. Martin’s office.
Basketball tryouts began Monday. Because there isn’t room for all those going out to practice in the gym, the Junior Varsity tryouts are getting to school at 7:30 in the morning and working out. In the afternoon those going out for Varsity hold their tryouts* It looks like Coach Ellis and Coach Hahn are working to prepare a great Panther team!
Hey! Looks like some of the eighth graders are coming up in the world. They are already wearing senior rings!
