Barn contest
begains
STARTING THIS WEEK is a new feature which has proven to be highly popular in the News’s companion newspaper, the Piedmont Virginian. Let’s see if Rappahannock’s citizens are as good at spotting barns as they are in the Virginian’s Fauquier-Loudoun-Prince William territory.
It goes like this: Each week, a photograph of a barn will be printed on the editorial page. If you can identify it, by location or owner or both, write us a card or letter. All answers received by noon each Tuesday will be thrown into a box and the winner drawn.
The prize, we think, is a dandy — a subscription to t,he Rappahannock News. If - you already have a subscription, we will either add the gift subscription on to the one you have, or send a gift subscription in your name to the friend or relative you designate.
Get in on the fun. Name the barn! □
