A 23-year-old Maryland man, who said he was the son of God, late Tuesday afternoon climbed on top of the weathervane on the Fauquier County Courthouse and shortly afterwards was induced by Fauquier County sheriff department’s deputies to descent.
Upon reaching the ground, the defendant, Thomas Patrick Moore of Lexington Park, was arrested and later booked on a charge of damaging or destroying public property.
He is lodged in Fauquier County jail in lieu of $250 bond. No trial date has been set.
Moore, who admitted to previous drug use, told officers at the scene he was not “on” any drug at the moment.
