The annual statewide Christmas Seal Campaign being conducted by local tuberculosis and respiratory disease associations is behind in contributions from Virginia residents. The Campaign is now far short of money given at this time in 1970.
According to Mrs. James C. Rea, Jr., president of the Virginia Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association, money is gravely needed to support TB-RD programs.. She went on to say, “The respiratory disease problem in Virginia becomes more and more acute. TB-RD associations throughout the state have active programs to combat respiratory diseases, and without public support will find it difficult to continue this vital work.
