Many of the recent models of automatic washers now offer a choice of agitation and spin speeds to wash the newer fabrics that need special care.

The slow agitation is designed to handle anything, that because of fiber, fabric or construction, requires gentle care. According to Miss Janice Woodard, Extension Specialist in Home Management, “anything that requires gentle handling holds up better if it is agitated at a slow speed and spun at a slow speed.”
