For those who do not have machines that provide special treatment there are a few hints for hand washing.

1. Use water temperatures that are comfortable to your hands.

2. Dissolve soap or detergent before placing the garment into the water.

3. Carefully squeeze thfe suds through the garment.

4. Rinse garment two or three times in different water.

5. If hand washables are drip-dried, they will be more wrinkle free. Avoid wringing articles during washing and rinsing. Roll garments in a bath towel to absorb some of the water and then hang to drip-dry.

Remember that no one method is right for all garments. To help insure that your garments will last and look nice, be sure to read and follow the instructions on the labels or hand tags. When buying material or ready made clothing, always be sure that you find out how the article is to be cared for and cleaned.
