Summer school classes at Rappahannock County Elementary School opened Thursday under the direction of Robert Witten, assistant principal. Roxy Wines, above, with her teacher, Mrs. Susan McIntosh and other class members look over the Sperryville fire engine while the function and operation of the equipment was explained by Wilson Atkins. This was the first opportunity of many of the youngsters to see a fire engine at close range.
