Crusade’goal topped
AS THE 1971-72 CANCER CRUSADE nears the finishing mark, Kermit Weakley, chairman for = Rappahannock County, reports that $1,944.40 has been collected to date. The “Fair Share Goal” set by the State for Rappahannock was $1,800.
“The citizens of Rappahannock County again, as in past years, helped the crusade over the “hump” by generously contributing to a very worthy case,” he noted.
The Crusade Chairman expressed thanks to the six district chairmen: Mrs. Harold Scoggin, Hampton; Mrs. Harry W. Gallihugh, Hawthorne; Mrs. Phillip O’Conner, Jackson; Mr. James B. Perkins, Piedmont; Mrs. Amos N. Butler, Stonewall; and, Rev. Jerry Campbell, Wakefield, for their conscientious efforst.
“The 44 captains and crusade workers in the districts are especially thanked for a job well done, as well as co-chairman Andrew Kozik whose invaluable assistance was appreciated,” Weakley added. □
