Two other cycle riders attempted to avoid the collision and one succeeded then the other overturned. John Dillard Rogers sustained a possible fractured vertebra and wrist while Julius Tabb Meyer Jr. was uninjured. Both are from Richmond, also.
Bailey sustained abrasions of the head, arms and hands after striking the car. □
