A big success
THE RAPPAHANNOCK LIBRARY’S Super Flea • Market grossed $5,500.
“An amazing figure,” commented the delighted members of the Library Committee, “The whole day was truly a Happening—and it happened only because the stamp of the entire county was upon it!
“Rappahannock People have a special combination of characteristics: They can be highly enthusiastic; they are. original, in fact, nothing they do comes out the way finy other place does; they are capable of big generosity; and they have a lot of know-how and energy to put into a job.”
In behalf of the Rappahannock Library, the Trustees thanked everyone and every family who participated in the Fourth celebration, and every individual who gave time, talent and energy with overwhelming generosity; who donated things, treasures and super junk; who gave use of lawns, pastures, houses and buildings.
Without this community of gifts, the Library’s day and the $5,500 would not have happened. □
