Miss Linda Roberts Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Smith of North Garden, and niece of Brue Wood of Flint Hill, will perform a voice recital on Tuesday, July 18, at 8 p.m. in Hughes Auditorium, Ohio State University, School of Music.

This is her graduating recital for a MA Degree in Vocal Pedagogy. Included in her recital will be: “A Concert Aria” by J. C. I Bach, three Goethe poems set by Hugo Wolf, two Greek folksongs and “La Flute Enchantee” by Ravel, a Concert Aria by Mozart, and “The Hermit Songs” by Samuel Barber.

Miss Smith did her undergraduate work at Madison College, Harrisonburg, where she was a student of David A. Watkins (who is a graduate of Ohio State)

She did her graduate training with Miss Irma Cooper, who for 12 years was resident soprano at the Wurzburg Municipal 0pera, Pfalztheater, and the Ulm Municipal Theater, singing 600 performances of 30 leading operas.

Upon completion of her MA Degree at the end of July, Miss Smith will return to Virginia and will teach in the Buckingham County School System. □
