Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Eastham of Ben Venue Farm were presented the Outstanding Farmer of the Year award for Rappahannock County from the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District. Presentation was made Saturday evening at the diraier meeting of the district which was held at Graves Lodge, Syria. H. L. Manwaruig, Rappahannock representative and associate director of the conservation district, presented the certificate to the Easthams, who were cited for conservation practices on their 3000 acre farm where they have 200 head of beef cows.
