It must be mentioned that a much admired and important hunting individual was noticeably absent: The great grey hunter Katie. Yes, Jim Bill Fletcher’s strong, trusted Katie, that we have all respected and been proud to be able to follow for the better part of two decades. (It is hoped she is now producing another worthy Katie.)
THE HUNTSMAN Jimmie Dodson blew his horn, the hounds clustered around his horse’s heels, the Whips, Charlie Brown and Billy Dodson .swung in behind them, and Mr. Fletcher, our Master, lead us away from Stonehaven and up the draw onto the saddle of Fielding.
After a considerable time of being stationed there while the hounds cast about, Jim Bill took us up to the mountain’s big top, (and I can assure you that’s way up there.) At last hounds were heard below.
