The cross country team met Stonewall Jackson Saturday on the Rappahannock course and won with a score of 17-44. Charlie Thomas, Bill Taylor, John Summers and Ronnie Nicholson came in for the first four places, respectively. Bobby Titchenell completed the first five by taking 7th place and Moose Donaldson was 9th.
The JV’s had a meet with Culpeper Tuesday afternoon. They put up a good fight but lost with a score of 24-32. Jerry Thomas and Carroll Jenkins each did their bit with an outstanding performance.
The next and final meet is this Saturday at Williamsburg. This is the state cross country meet and we’re expecting great results from our team. Hope some of you can go. □
