The Supervisors declined to take any action specifically instructing Bruce to take such measures, but Chairman Newbill Miller and others pointed out that laws were put on the books to be obeyed, and that it was up to Bruce to enforce the dog laws.
Commonwealfh’s Attorney George Davis concurred that “the dog situation is becoming critical — no doubt about that. And many dogs are going to get shot, in addition to there being damage to livestock, and to other things as well.” But the Dog Warden does not need any special instructions from the Supervisors to start enforcing dog control laws, the attorney added.
