supervisor h. b. wooa Jr. thought the Dog Warden would surely be able to “tell a good hunting dog from a stray.”
Commonwealth’s Attorney George Davis thought “it is up to the owner to make sure the dogs have a proper collar and tag. If a dog doesn’t have a collar, then the Dog Warden has a right to assume it’s a stray.”
He suggested that the public be notified, “through the press of the situation, and let the owners be warned.”
