Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Effie Williams Settle of Castleton; seven daughters, Mrs. John Settle and Mrs. Carl Payne, both of Rixeyville, Mrs. James Alther of Culpeper and the Misses Nancy, Bonnie Beverly and Carol Settle, all of Castleton; a son, Larry Brown Settle of Rixeyville and two grandchildren.
Also surviving are his father, Harry Settle of Castleton; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Freeman of Vienna and Mrs. Anna Gore of Culpeper, and six brothers, Charles R. and Carroll S. Settle, both of Castleton, Billy Settle ofReva, Lee T. Settle of Falls Church, Fred T. Settle of Manassas and Bunny Settle of Front Royal.
