Given those conditions, the foxes had wisely taken their breakfast runs considerably earlier that morning and were lying in for a midday siesta. Though the pack searched continuously, though they picked up a scent intermittently, they could not find a line that they could carry over the flighty dry leaf cover.
REGULAR HUNT members out for opening meet were Clifford Miller, Bucky Fletcher and young Bill Fletcher, up from Richmond; Witold Kuncewicz, Michael Marsh, Ardothand Paula Bendlange, BillFannon, Dutch Eastham, Sandra Massie and Mary Jamieson.
Guests who joined us were Louise Catulla of Alexandria, Phyllis Reese, Larry Lehew, his son and grandson from Front Royal, John Will and his son from Culpeper, and Otis Owen and his daughter from Fairfax.

At 4 o’clock on thatsplendid, colorful afternoon, we all gathered at the Ski Lodge for the Hunt Breakfast given by Mr. and Mrs. Muth. (Mr. Muth is the wise and generous president of the Rappahannock Hunt.)
