The cheerleaders have begun practice, so if you see some girls moving around with stiff aching muscles, that’s the reason. Xhe varsity squad has practice twice a week while the JV’s have it only once each week, but for a longer period of time.
Basketball squad hopefuls have been practicing also. The team will be chosen later in the practice sessions and will go on to play during the season.
Miss Davis took several of her students to a French church in Washington, D.C. last Sunday. They all seemed to enjoy it and even ate cookies at the tea which followed while they were all conversing in French. Right on!
Those who attended were Nanette Butler, Beverly Reid, Wendy Brown, Charla Sisk, Cassie Frye and Cil Davis.
The F.H.A. is planning a Sadie Hawkins dance for November 17 . Mr. Flinchum will be the DJ again, so come along and enjoy yourself. It’s not live music, but it sounds better!
