Speaking of Rappahannock’s last winter, Moore was candid. . “From a financial standpoint, it was disastrously bad. Any time you start something new it’s difficult, and we also had the worst weather — from a ski area standpoint — in the past ten years. It was the same in Pennsylvania.”
Moore expressed the hope that “bad weather” won’t continue in the future, but in the meantime, “I’m confident we established ourselves in this region, that we proved that we could make snow and run a ski area.”
