As a result of the hearing . conducted by the State Air Pollution Control Board in Front Royal on November 14,1972, it was determined, in accordance with Section 6 of the State Air Pollution Control Board Regulations, that the odor emitted by FMC-Front Royal is “objectionable.” Thus, ending the debate of the social acceptability of its olfactory impact.

Under this ruling, FMCFront Royal was given 60 days to submit a plan for the control of the “objectionable” odor.
