This program has a twofold purpose. During the 19 days of the program, activities will be designed so that school personnel will be able to determine strengths and weaknesses of reading readiness skills. Once this data is available, it will be easier to plan for appropriate programs in the fall.
The second aspect of the program will be an orientation phase. Students will be exposed to many activities that they will encounter in the fall. Cafeteria experiences, auditorium programs, etc., will be provided.
