AS RAPPAHANNOCK’S Supervisors have discovered, few subjects match dogs for stirring up public passions. A proposal last summer to double dog fees inspired more telephone calls and inquiries than some members of the Board could remember.
But, apparently, public enthusiasm for man’s best friend stops short of supporting “vicious” dogs. An ordinance designed “to regulate and control the running at large of vicious or destructive dogs” was called up to a hearing at the June meeting of the Supervisors, and not a soul was' present to make a statement.
