Valerie Kay Lawrence, who graduated in June from Culpeper County High School, received a $400 scholarship given by the Culpeper Business and Professional Women’s Club.
She will attend Bluefield College in the fall majoring in business education. Kay is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gilbert Lawrence Jr. of Amissville.
While in high school she was a member and officer in the FBLA, in the Spanish Club and softball team. She is organist and director of the young people’s choir at Amissville Baptist Church. She is employed in the summer at Warrenton Training Center. □
CHURCH SERVICE
A service will be held at Gid Brown Bible Church Saturday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. with Bob McClure of Timberville as guest speaker. Everyone is welcome. □
