JOHN CLOUD of Amissville died from a heart attack 45 minutes after he had been involved in a traffic crash while riding a motorcycle. He, with three other young men, were traveling north on Route 522 near Huntly when his ‘73 Yamaha went out of control and skidded on the pavement.
Injuries from the crash were minor — only abrasions of the hands, and damage to the vehicle was estimated at $100, according to Trooper R. A. Baines. Mr. Cloud died about 45 minutes later and a medical examination showed a heart attack as thecauseof death, said the officer.
A number of other traffic incidents have been reported with injuries minor. June 17 at 2:15 a.m. three miles south ofWoodvilleon Route 522 Robert Kemp of Culpeper failed to maintain control of his car and crashed down an embankment. The ’68 Plymouth went off the right of the road for 150 feet before plunging down the 50 foot embankment, said Trooper Baines. Kemp escaped injury but was cited for reckless driving.
