“WHO CAN FIND a virtuous woman, for her price is far above rubies?” You will find that in Proverbs 31:10. Transient thought: If you stole a kiss from such a woman, would it be grand larceny? Once 1 read a psychological thesis on woman and the great loves in her life. The writer said that her first love, or the man first in her affection was her pastor; the second, her doctor; the third would be her husband. Now, this rule would apply under normal circumstances. Her pastor or her doctor could be a woman, and there is a remote possibility that she loved some other man better than her husband. Note: This report concerns only married women. I'm sure that most of you have heard of preachers becoming involved, but have you ever heard of a preacher’s wife being in love with a member of her husband’s flock.
I heard of one instance, and it was or is such a rare thing that they made a movie about it. Once preacher’s wives looked like preacher’s wives, but have you noticed the transition? Now they look as sexy (pardon me, I’m blushing) as anyone else, yet they keep themselves morally above reproach.
The Book of Proverbs closes with this thought: “Her children stand and bless her; so does her husband. He praises her with these words: There e are many fine women in the world, but you are • the best of them all. Charm can be deceptive and beauty doesn’t last, but a woman who fears and reverences God shall be greatly praised. Praise her for the many fine things she does. These good deeds of hers will bring her honor and recognition from even the leaders of the nations.” □
