AVON HALL IN WASHINGTON, VA., home of Mr. and Mrs. William Carrigan, will again be the setting for a celebration commemorating the birthday of the United States. The Carrigans, who have sponsored this celebration annually for the last ten years, extend an invitation to the people of Rappahannock - to join them in an evening of interesting events.
A brilliant display of fireworks will climax a program which will include music piped around the lake and grounds, speeches, foot races for the children, rides and a rehearsal given by the Rappahannock Hunt. The program begins at 7 p.m. with the fireworks display about 9 p.m.
