Rear end
collision
LAST Wednesday evening, June 13, a rear end collision occurred on Route 211 just west of Amissville. Two 1969 Ford pickups were involved, according to Trooper S. W. Weatherholtz.
A motorist slowed to make a right turn into a lane and a pickup following slowed to allow the turn. A second pickup ran into the rear of the first one.
Involved was John Ernest Alexander of Flint Hill who slowed and he was struck by Stephen L. Bailey of Washington, Va. All vehicles were travelling west. Bailey was cited for reckless driving, by Trooper Weatherholtz.
Extensive damage was incurred to both trucks. Leon L. Bailey of Washington, a passenger in the truck with his son, sustained lacerations of the face and was treated at Fauquier Hospital. □
