A native of Laurel Mills, Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late George Mason and the late Bertha Rudasill Mason.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Elsie Haught; a son, Wayne Mason of Suitland, a daughter, Mrs. Cathy Thorn of Suitland; and seven grandchildren. □

Clarence B. Burke, 55, of Winchester, died September 22, 1973 in the Veterans Administration Center.
A funeral service was held Tuesday at the Jones Funeral Home conducted by Chaplain Fred A. Duckett. A graveside service was conducted in Shenandoah Memorial Park by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 2123.
