Swine contest
Entries for the 1973 Virginia 4-H 56-Day Litter Weight Contest are due by November 1, says John Gerken, assistant professor of animal science and Extension specialist at Virginia Tech.
Four 4-H members who wish to enter this swine contest should contact their local Extension agent who supervises swine projects. The contest period covers litters of pigs farrowed between September 1, 1972 and August 31, 1973.
Awards for winners are sponsored by the Virginia Purebred Swine Breeders’ Association, said Gerken.□
