Archie Kidwell received a lacerated forehead, contusions of both legs and possible rib fractures. Mrs. Christine Kidwell sustained a bad contusion of the chin and left arm and laceration of the right knee.

Earlier that afternoon a rear end collision occurred on a private road west of Sperryville just off Route 600. Mrs. Mary Rice Hottle in a 73 Ford station wagon was struck from behind by Gerald Thomas Dwyer in a 62 Buick. Dwyers brakes got wet when he crossed a creek and failed to hold when he applied them, bumping the Hottle vehicle. Both drives are from Sperryville. No charges were made by Trooper
