“WE KNOW THAT THE WORLD and the stars, in fact, all things were made at God’s command; and that they were made from things that can’t be seen.” (Atoms?) That statement is found in Hebrews 11:3. Now, how did those early writers know about atoms, or that everything came into being through the vibratory voice of God; the Word of God, if you will?
Some will resent this, but when I see someone waving a Bible and shouting that it is the Word of God I feel a little bit of resentment myself. I accept the Bible as HIS story, or a record of man’s quest for a knowledge of his creator. I think it is the greatest book ever written; I read it as a book by a group of inspired people, I do not accept it as the actual WORD of GOD.
Do we hear His Word in the wind, thunder and beating rain of a mighty storm do we hear it in the rumbling of an earthquake or the explosions of a volcano? Those are natural phenomena of God’s 0 creation. Can you hear it in the happy gurgling of a happy infant, or the voice of one you love telling you that your love is returned.
The Bible, a book of many books, might be called a road map, a song book, a love story, history or a book of pornography. There is something there for *all tastes. It is not a spoken word, yet it speaks to your heart. Read it and see for yourself.
If you really want to hear the voice of God, His word, live a whole day doing the best you can, pause at eventime and pray, you will almost hear Him say: “All is well, I will watch over you, Good Night.”
