COLONEL John C. Adams, U. S. Army Dental Corps, was recently awarded the Meritorous Service Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) for rendering outstanding service while serving as Chief, Department of Dentistry, Walson Army Hopsital and Director of the General Dentistry Residency Program, Fort Dix, NJ. from January 1971 to June 1973.

The ceremony was held at the Royal Army Medical College, Millbank, London, England. Lt. General James Baird, Director General, British Army Medical Department, presented the medal on behalf of the U. S. Army.

Colonel Adams is pres-, ently serving in an exchange program with the British Army Dental Corps and is assigned to the Royal Army Medical College. He was promoted to the rank of full Colonel just prior to his arrival in London.
