Flint Hill Rescue unit took Mrs. Herbert Smoot from her home in Harris Hollow to Warren Memorial Hospital on October 1. The next day this unit took Virgil Wilson from Warren Memorial to Winchester Memorial and back to Warren.
Sperryville Rescue Squad transported Earl Wharton from Sperryville to Newton D. Baker Hospital, Martinsburg, W. Va. on September 26. October 1 this unit responded to a call to the Kidwell home on Route 522 but services were not used.
Washington Rescue Squad took Hugh Deal from a traffic crash October 1 near Sperryville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. The following day Junior Woodward was taken from Washington to Warren Memorial Hospital and Larry Smoot was taken from his home to that hospital October 4. John Barber, a pedestrian fatality, was taken from Route 211 west of Washington to Warren Memorial Hospital on October 6. Amissville Rescue Squad responded to a call October 6 at Ben Venue to a pedestrian on Route 211 but service was not rendered. This unit took Lloyd A. Poe from home to Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton and Ijack home on October 7.
