M.C. Hawkins
A funeral service for Maury Charles Hawkins of Culpeper was held Friday at Geest Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Edward Hawkins. Burial was in ’ Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Hawkins, 71, a retired welder for Bingham and Taylor Corp. died October 2, 1973 at his residence, following a Sudden illness.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Charles and the late Sarah Frances Woodard Hawkins Allen. He was a member of the Bible Mission Church in Culpeper.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Lucy Jenkins; a son, Preston Lawrence Hawkins of Culpeper; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Cole and Mrs. Lucille Hoffman, both of Culpeper, Mrs. Janie Oxendine and Mrs. Madge Moore, both of Hagerstown Md.; ten grandchildren; and four brothers, Harry Kemper Hawkins, of Culpeper,
