Dr. Aylor emphasized that membership may be purchased by newcomers only, since to allow indiscriminate year-round enrollment would destroy the advance payment plan on which the debt-free association is based.
“We have to have our membership drive in the early spring, in order to have the money in hand with which to purchase our attractions. Since they are of Kennedy Center and Richmond Mosque calibre, they are very expensive. No one person could afford to underwrite this financial undertaking, nor should any small group undertake the responsibility. It is truly a community endeavor.”
