DEFINITE instructions for the Rappahannock Zoning Office to stay open two days a week—Tuesdays and Thursdays—have been given by the Board of Supervisors.

The decision was made at last Thursday’s meeting of the Board during a discussion about whether a zoning administrator or assistant could also serve as the county building inspector.

F. M. Baumgardner, the assistant, submitted a memorandum in which he concluded that a combination of jobs was not permissable.

Commonwealth’s Attorney George Davis said the question was not. .critical for Rappahannock anyway, since state law requires a building inspector only if the county intends to apply for low-rent housing development aid, and things of that sort. Since the county had no such plans, he saw no need for a building inspector.
