“WHERE DID YOU come from, baby dear? God thought of you, and so I am here.” Inveterate fishermen contend that because God made five times as much water surface as land, He intended for man to spend five times as much time fishing as in other pursuits. And how about this one: “God made us with one mouth and two ears, showing that He meant for us to listen twice as much as speaking.” And—“I was silent and heard His voice. I was silent and He heard mine.” One cannot pick up a newspaper or other periodical without finding some reference to God. Xenophanes, a Sixth century B.C. philosopher reasoned thrusly: “The Ethiopians say their gods are snub-nosed and black-skinned and the Thracians that theirs are blue-eyed and red-haired. If horses and oxen could draw or perform works of art as men make, their gods would be modeled like their own bodies.”
In Genesis 1:27 God created man in His image. It seems more likely that primative man created God in the image of man. Christ says that God is a spirit. Who can visualize spirit? The Bible also says that God made everyting out of unseen substance (atoms). In other words, everything is a manifestation of the spirit of God.D
