Travel into Shenandoah National Park has declined since the beginning of the national energy crisis according to statistics through April.
The total visitors to date this year is 309,100 as compared to 447,900 at this time in 1973. The decrease is 30.9 per cent. Last year in the month of April 219,400 person visited the Park while only 152,000 did in April 1974. This is a 30.7 decrease for tiie month.
The maximum temperature at Big Meadows during April was 78 degrees and the minimum was 19. Precipitation was 2.53 inches. □
