Our Christmas snow came a little late this year when it finally decided to fall last Monday, but better late than never. School was called off Wednesday and this time it really did feel like Christmas vacation.
Even though school was called off, Tuesday night’s basketball game wasn’t. The game was at Luray High School. Neither Rappahannock team brought home a victory. The J.V. game was a close one with our Rappahannock Panthers staying only a few points behind the Luray team until the last quarter when they couldn’t quite catch up with the Bulldogs. The varsity team played a good game the first two quarters but was un3bje to catch up with the Luray score in the final two. Last Eriday our Rappahannock teams played the Elkton Elks in a home game and our JV team was a bit luckier when they defeated the Elks.
They played a really fine game. That makes a total of three wins for the season.
Mid-term exams will begin next Friday and will continue through Monday and Tuesday.
Kathy Dwyer has been selected to receive this year’s DAR Good Citizen award. The people selected are chosen and voted on first by their peers and then the names of top three candidates are submitted to the faculty members who make the final decision as to who will win the award.
