PARK VISITS DOWN
Visitors to Shenandoah National Park during 1974 showed a decided decrease from the previous year, a 13.9% decrease. During 1973 a total of 2,574,300 persons visited the Park while the total for 1974 was 2,215,300. For the month of December 1974 the decrease in park visitors was 46.8%.

Rappahannock’ Farmers Cooperative at Sperryville was broken into last Wednesday night and two color televisions were taken, according to Gordon Thornhill, manager of the store. Entry to the building was gained through the ceiling of an office but the burglar alarm was not set off. Apparently the thieves were careful not to break the beam which trips the alarm.
Ranny Aylor, assistant manager of the Co-Op said the following night similar burglaries were reported in adjoining counties.□
