Mrs. Carver
Mrs. Julia Goodloe Carver, 70, of Culpeper died December 19, 1974 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Sperryville, the daughter- of the late Emerson G. Brown and Emma Irene Woodward and wife of the late Sylvan W. Carver.
She was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, Sperryville and had lived in Culpeper for the past 20 years.
Survivors include six sisters, Mrs. George Tidier of Culpeper, Mrs. John J. Casey of Castleton, Mrs. Chester Weaver and Mrs. James W. Bennett, both of Boston, Va., Mrs. John J. Allen ofBoynne, N.J. and Ms. Hager Brown of Washington, D.C.
A funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Harpld Eaton, was held December 27 in the Geest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Sperryville Cemetery. □
Mrs. Costello
Mrs. Mildred Hawes Costello, 55, of Washington, Va. died January 3, 1975 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. The Rev. Malcolm Maples conducted funeral services Sunday at Willis Chapel United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Costello was the daughter of the late Isaac Hawes and is survived by her mother, Mrs. Daisy Harris of Bluemont; her husband, Carroll W. Costello; three sons, James P. Costello of Huntly, Delbert P. Costello of Purcellville and Thornton L. Costello of Charleston, W. Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred A. Weakley and Miss Mary L. Costello, both of Fredericksburg and Betty L. Thomas of Sperryville; two brothers, Charles Hawes and James Harris, both of Bluemont.C
