MR. AND MRS. Cary C. Thornhill of Boston, Va. celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on December 21, 1974 with a reception at the Holiday Inn, Culpeper. Approximately 200 friends and relatives were present to extend Kpcf wi^hp^ Cary G. Thornhill and the former Dicy E. Weaver were married in Washington, D.C. on December 23, 1924 by the Rev. E. HezSwimm. They have four children: Gordon Thornhill of Boston, Mrs. Elma Morrison of Winchester, Winfrey Thornhill of Manassas and Robert Thornhill of Vienna; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The wedding cake was served by Mrs. Jean Anderson of Sterling Park, a granddaughter of the Thornhills. Presiding at the punch bowls and guest register were granddaughters,^Vickie Manuel, Debbie, Cindy, Melanie and Missy Thornhill.
