The Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles reminds motorists that beginning January 1, the driver of a vehicle involved in an accident will be required to make a written report to DMV if the apparent extent of property, damage amounts to $250 or more. Currently, drivers are required to report all accidents involving apparent property damage of $100 or more.
