From Page 2 crease of 149 per cent. At our Mt. Storm mine mouth station, where the cost of transportation is small, the price rose from $8.09 to$17.88 —an increase of 121 per cent. A proportionate share of that increased cost was added to the electric bill as a fuel adjustment.
Revenue from the fuel adjustment is not “profit” to Vepco. It is merely a way to recover a portion of our rapidly increasing cost of fossil fuel.
