Or we could run it ourselves and charge other jurisdictions a fee to dump their trash there.” Rappahannock’s trash is now collected by a firm from Culpeper which dumps the trash in the Orange County landfill. The fee charged by Orange County is covered in the contract with the trash collector.

ON OTHER budget matters, Luke reminded the Supervisors that Rappahannock will no longer share a school superintendent with Warren County after July 1. “We’ll be on our own,” he said, noting that this will require new salaries and office space for administrative personnel.
